Customizing Your Network Sharing Settings. Locate the folder you want to share in Windows Explorer or File Explorer, right-click it, and select Properties.

How to Share Files Between Mac and PC Wirelessly (Without Any Third Party App)
Double-click a computer to view its shared files. You can also connect directly to a computer if you know its name or IP address. Click the Sharing icon and enable File Sharing.
Use the Shared Folders column to choose additional folders to share. Use the Users column to choose which users and groups can access and write to them. Open the Finder, click Go on the menu at the top of the screen, and select Connect to Server.

Drag and drop the network share from under the Shared column in Finder to the list of Login Items. We used the Nautilus file manager on Ubuntu Open the file manager, right-click a folder you want to share, and select Properties. Click the Local Network Share tab and enable sharing for that folder. How to Wirelessly Share Files Between Mac and Windows PC
A window will pop up where you can select from the shared folders on the Windows computer. Make your selection using the pulldown menu and click on OK. To find out the short version of a user name on the Mac, open up the System Preferences window from the Apple menu and select Accounts, then make sure the Password tab is selected. The short version of the user name will be listed on that tab.
Transfer files between Mac & Windows
To enable Windows sharing, choose System Preferences from the Apple menu, then Sharing and make sure a check mark appears next to Windows Sharing. If Windows Sharing is not already started, click on the Start button to enable it.
You will then see the address you need to connect to the Mac from a Windows computer at the bottom of the Sharing window. To connect to the Mac, you can open up an Explorer window on the Windows computer and type in the address for the Mac share the address is in the format: You will be asked to enter a password for the account you are using to connect to the Mac before you can connect.
